ABSTRACT

Printed antenna design and optimized a multiband frequencies, a folded printed quadrifilar helical antenna (FPQHA) is obtainable. A global position system of L1/L2 frequencies of printed antenna application is realized with a good gain and circular polarization. The printed qudrifilar helical antenna (PQHA) bandwidths of a conventional antenna are insufficient for such applications. The new FPQHA is designed to achieve a good bandwidth in axial-mode. The helix patch and diameter plane plays a vital role to achieve wide bandwidth. Hence, a meander line analysis is carried out by varying the diameter starting from 16 mm to 20 mm, find the optimum results of folded printed quadrifilar helical antenna at 18 mm diameter patch antenna, the impedance bandwidth is in the range of 1.22 GHz and 1.575 GHz where the return loss swings from -10 dB to -10 dB by reaching minimum levels of -28 dB and -27 dB, antenna radiate Omni directional emission. The antenna gain increase from 2.5 dBi to 4.13 dBi. Moreover, the printed arms on one substrate face, the FPQHA manufacturing is very simple, low cost and less area.
