ABSTRACT
The problem of sudden vision loss arises mainly because of Diabetic Retinopathy and Occlusion. Diabetic Retinopathy is seen in diabetic patients. Occlusion is basically obstruction in blood flow through a vein. Branch retinal vein occlusion (BRVO) is most commonly seen. The proposed system in this paper has been designed to capture the retinal images and preprocess them. The acquired images are used as input to the neural network for classification. This system would immensely help in making such a diagnostic system for detection of retinal diseases in rural as well as urban areas. This project being economically viable project would enable the inclusion of such diagnostic test in the routine eye test, thereby aiding the faster treatment.
