ABSTRACT

The application of internet of things (IoT) in remote healthcare monitoring systems is gaining a lot of popularity because of ease in operations, comfort and ability of monitoring health condition of patient continuously and most important is remotely. All these systems use cloud servers to store the patients’ data from sensors and hence requires an active internet connection. Our proposed system Intensive Vital Monitoring System (i-VMS) eliminates the trouble of managing the servers and focusing mainly on patient monitoring. We are using services offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) which makes it easier to further improve and analyse patients’ vital data and thus makes the system server-less. The main objective of i-VMS is to make it possible for doctors to check the vital signs of multiple patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on the move using various available bio-sensors like temperature sensor and heart rate sensor and also to make the system portable and wearable.
