ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an overview ofthe core competencies in Brazil, that is, from the leading cancer nanotechnology scientists in the health sector. Since nanotechnology is shaped by its close relationship with scientific knowledge and its development linked to industrial application, this work contributes to the identification of scientific and technological competencies, the area of activity, main research, and development centers of nanotechnology focused on the area of oncology in the health sector. It is observed that scientific and technological advances are in parallel and that knowledge is not endogenous. There is a strong interactionbetween the leaders and with others in their core competencies in scientific production, whose identified industrial property of these scientists corroborate the scientific advance of the identified papers.
