ABSTRACT

This chapter presents problems with solutions on boundary layer flows. They include analyzing two-dimensional incompressible laminar flow on a flat plate, finding the total drag on a flat plate in an oncoming uniform water flow, using the momentum integral method for a laminar boundary layer on a flat plate, computing the drag force distribution in a flat plate boundary layer, analyzing the turbulent boundary layer over a flat plate, and finding the transverse velocity in the laminar boundary layer over a flat plate.
