ABSTRACT

This chapter examined the level of resilience among teaching professionals based on demographic profiles. The study used descriptive research method. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 65 teachers working in private and public schools and colleges in the selected towns of Vellore district. The teachers self-rated their level of resilience. Descriptive analysis, Mann–Whitney U-test and Kruskal Wallis H-test were used for analyzing the data. The finding of the study indicated high level of resilience among teachers. Also the resilience level differed across teachers’ demographics. The future study could examine the role of mediators and moderators in the relationship of resilience with other outcome variables.
