ABSTRACT

Currently, errors and omissions management processes (EOM) in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) consume an enormous amount of resources. During EOM complex collaborative patterns must be managed efficiently in short time to meet the requirements of the client. Therefore, this paper presents an architecture for dynamic, cross-enterprise process management. In the first part of the paper the authors introduce a methodological framework for collaborative work in theAEC-sector. In the second part, the implantation process of this methodological framework is explained. Finally, the applicability of the proposed methods and models is demonstrated on the example of errors and omissions management in AEC.

The EOM-architecture described in this paper enhances existing concepts of information and business process management by supporting collaborative business integration on multiple levels of detail. Within this architecture, collaborative business process modeling will be achieved by the use of predefined process modules. The work presented in this paper was part of the projects IuK-System Bau and ArKoS funded by the German Ministry for Research and Education (BMBF).
