ABSTRACT

Planning and operation of enterprise networks lead to complex challenges: To plan and to design a network efficiently, business process integration between at least two participants becomes necessary. Business process modelling supports integration within but also across enterprise borders. As traditional Business Process Management approaches and tools do not provide support sufficiently, existing approaches and tools have to be extended. Thus, the conceptual approach towards cross-organisational process modelling with a supporting platform implementation is described in the article. The modelling approach helps to visualise and analyse collaborative business process models. The platform implementation supports collaborative modelling and model management in networks.
