ABSTRACT

This presentation illustrates the key drivers for European growth and job creation in the knowledge and service economy, touching all industries, both old and new sectors. It urges for innovation following new innovation processes, so called Living Labs, which are been built up in a networked manner for new public private partnerships, creating industrially interesting innovation environments. In the presentation it is also shown how the new innovation processes rely on development of collaborative shared environments, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and creativity. The presentation illustrates the recent development in the research field of “Collaborative Work Environments” and shows how the technical research is interlinked with necessary policy work in these new innovation environments.
