ABSTRACT

Most companies, but also those who are involved with design, planning, construction and monitoring buildings and structures, today are striving to achieve top-line growth while maintaining the cost reductions they’ve achieved in recent years. It’s a delicate balance, particularly when business is increasingly global, fluid and complex. It requires that these companies become more adept at managing their businesses – in particular, their projects, and buildings and structures lifecycles – more effectively. It demands that they look beyond traditional sources of inventions and innovations to create a sustainable competitive advantage.
