ABSTRACT

This paper presents the results of a simulation study in which different heat production systems are installed in a TRNSYS16-model of a terraced house. Micro Combined Heat and Power units, regular high efficiency boilers, condensing boilers and water to water heat pumps are considered. High-temperature radiators, low-temperature radiators and floor heating are simulated as heat distribution systems. The evaluation is based on the gross energy consumption, the amount of Greenhouse Gases emitted, the primary energy use and the Net Present Value over the lifetime of the building.
