ABSTRACT

To establish the climatic loading conditions for an experimental evaluation, the weather data of 31 years (271,740 hrs) obtained from the Dorval meteorological station have been analyzed using two methods: the Π′ - method, a.k.a. the drying out potential method, and the wind-driven rain (WDR) approach as defined by Lacy’s equation. From the study, average temperatures and RH, representing the 10% worst conditions from the 31 years, have been selected for each month of the year. The paper also presents tables and graphs showing the tendencies for characteristics such as temperature, relative humidities, wind orientation and wind driven rain values.
