ABSTRACT
In this paper a mesoscopic model for describing moisture transport in wood is presented. The transport in layers of early- and latewood is modeled using direction dependent moisture transport properties. Results from different measurement techniques are combined to determine transport properties. The simulations are qualitatively compared with X-ray measurements.
