ABSTRACT

Ferrocement is finding extensive use in field applications, including new structures and repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. The dispersion of reinforcement in the volume of Fligh Performance Mortar matrix can improve the performance characteristics of ferrocement. Such a material is termed as Fligh Performance Ferrocement (F1PF). This paper presents an analytical model for predicting the stress-strain behaviour of F1PF, based on the experimental results. A total of 144 hollow cylindrical specimens of size 150 mm outer diameter, 150 mm height and 20 mm thickness were cast and tested under strain control rate of loading. The increase in strength and strain of F1PF were used in formulating the constitutive relation.
