ABSTRACT

This paper presents an alternative efficient procedure to analyze the problem associated with multi-layered media with straight or circular boundaries interacted with an arbitrary singularity. Based on the method of analytical continuation in conjunction with the alternating technique, the thermoelastic fields of the three-phase media are derived. A rapidly convergent series solution which is expressed in terms of an explicit general term of the complex potential of the corresponding homogeneous problem is obtained in an elegant form. As a numerical illustration, the interfacial stresses are presented for different material combinations and for different positions of the point force.
