ABSTRACT
Seven challenges are set forth for information system designers. Each of them is feasible, and the greatest benefits to information system design will accrue if they are all taken up collectively. All of them are incorporated in systems science as defined in a recent tutorial paper (Warfield 2007) and all of them are illustrated in a recently published case study (Staley & Warfield 2007).
