ABSTRACT

With the development of information industry, more and more value-added service suppliers appeared and make it more complicated for telecommunication operators to choose from. In this paper we constructed the evaluating index system of the value-added service suppliers with the BSC firstly and then applied it in improved Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)/Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, in order to find out which supplier obtained the highest customer satisfaction and profit. This method overcomes the limitations that DEA can't rank all the DMUs and AHP is highly subjective, so it can evaluate the value-added service suppliers more scientifically and reasonably. The DEA/AHP model can also help telecommunication operators select the appropriate suppliers from the consumers’ point of view, and understand the market status of information services as well as the prevailing consumer patterns. In the end we justified the feasibility and practicability of the improved DEA/AHP model by using an example.
