ABSTRACT
With the development of information system and mobile service, the combination of these two technologies brings new applications to the BIS, more and more mobile information systems have been adopted in China. In this paper, a case study of mobile information system applying for a university in China will be introduced. At first, a brief introduction of the status quo of the application of information systems in the universities of China, especially the mobile information systems will be given. Then the characters, the functions and the performances of the system will be introduced, followed by the successful application analysis in the school of Economic and Management (one of the biggest schools in the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and has more than 1300 students, 100 teachers and assistants at present). Finally, lessons and the forecasting of such mobile information system in other schools/universities will be proposed.
