ABSTRACT
This paper is a survey of recent mathematical results concerning flows of viscoelastic fluids which obey a constitutive law of differential type: initial boundary value problem, steady solutions, stability issues. As far as possible we try to present robust results, i.e. not too dependent on the model. Its contents is the following:
