ABSTRACT

In this series of lectures we present stability results for problems in fluid dynamics when interaction effects with electric, magnetic, and thermal fields are taken into account. These subjects have been broadly divided into three categories and we here examine basic problems in each of the three categories, namely, electrohydrodynamics (EHD), ferrohydrodynamics (FHD), and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), although in the last case we consider only the relatively new and technologically important subject of thermoelectric magnetohydrodynamics (TEMHD).
