ABSTRACT

In this chapter we give an outline of the personnel policies focused on preventing and solving problems of older employees of the Dutch branch of a European industrial company of Dutch origin (NV Koninklijke Sphinx). It is meant to be a typical example of such an approach, with its main strong and weak points. As we do not have comprehensive and systematic longitudinal data of a quantitative nature at our disposal this is just a description of the state of affairs at the moment, not a critical evaluation study of its outcomes.
