ABSTRACT
Nonlinear beam dynamics experiments, which measure Poincaré maps of nonlinear Hamiltonian in synchrotrons, are reviewed. Particle motion in resonance islands are studied in great detail. These experimental results can improve our understanding of nonlinear dynamics as well as the dynamical aperture problems in the Superconducting Super Collider.
