ABSTRACT

The angular distribution of the 19F(p, a0)16O and 7Li(p, a)4He nuclear reactions have been studied for an energy range 1.1 MeV to 2.0 MeV and angular range of 35° - 160°, in addition to the excitation functions for an energy range 0.3 - 3.0 MeV at 150° and from 1.1 - 1.95 MeV at different angles. The observed angular distributions have been corrected to the center-of-mass system and analyzed in terms of Legendre polynomials. Comparison with other previous measurements is also listed, and the spins and parities of prominent resonances in the 19F(p, ao)l60 and 7Li(p, a)4He nuclear reactions are calculated.
