ABSTRACT
It is no exaggeration to say that Eric Rogers affected a whole generation of physics teachers. His voice can often be recognized in their conversations and writings; as indeed it can be in this book. His passion for teaching physics left a deep impression on those he taught, which for me began in the summer of 1964, the year in which I began my teaching career.
