ABSTRACT

I met Eric Rogers a long time before he met me. More than 30 years ago, when I was teaching at a Danish teacher training college, I used parts of the newly developed PSSC physics course, including some of the PSSC films. One of them, which I immediately fell for, had the title Coulomb's Law. In it I saw a small, friendly-looking man doing experiments on Coulomb's law with an ingenious balance. Not only did I like his experiments, I was fascinated by the way he talked and gesticulated with such enthusiasm that nobody could doubt that here was someone who both loved physics and loved to share this love with others. This man was Eric Rogers.
