ABSTRACT
The results of a study of the threshold of stimulated emission in optically pumped PbSe layers are reported. Direct time resolved measurements and data from quasi steady state luminescence measurements were used to define this parameter 'threshold'. A qualitative explanation of the observed threshold shifts due to both external parameter strain and magnetic field is given.
