ABSTRACT
In this paper, a new type of uniplanar ring resonator is introduced and fabricated on semi-insulating GaAs substrate for the first time. A Shottky photodetector is monolithically integrated as a coupling gap between the coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed lines and the slotline ring resonator. Interaction between optical and microwave signals is accomplished using optical excitaion.
