ABSTRACT
Information Age Technologies are those technologies associated with the generation, distribution, storage and display of information. Optoelectronic devices are enabling for many of these applications and are finding new applications as photonic device replace electronic devices. This paper reviews the status of compound semiconductor research as applied to information age photonic technologies.
