ABSTRACT
Liftoff Technology allows the transfer of semiconductor films of various elements and compounds to dissimilar substrates. Such technology has tremendous potential applications from photovoltaic cells, electronic circuits, optoelectronic devices and circuits, and active matrix liquid crystal displays. Various forms of liftoff technology (for GaAs, InP, Si, etc.) will be reviewed, and examples of applications will be described.
