ABSTRACT
Using a half-cycle-delayed pulse, we shorten the interaction time between the external field and the atomic system. It means that the actual intensity which the laser pulse contributes to harmonic emission will be improved. Therefore, the harmonic emission k extended to higher order. Our numerical simulation indicates substantial enhancement of the harmonic photon energy.
