ABSTRACT
As the most promising application of compact x-ray lasers, photoelectron micro-spectroscopy is proposed Our experiment of photoelectron spectroscopy with a laser-plasma source demonstrated that it can have a spectrum acquisition time comparable to that with an undulator source. Based on the result, w6 discuss that application of x-ray lasers to μ-XPS is quite promising, and the requirements for the x-ray laser in this application are presented.
