ABSTRACT
The configuration of a novel tansmission grating spectrograph and preliminary experimental results are described. This spectrograph is composed of a grazing-incidence optical system and a large area transmission grating. The experimental results show that it is possible to construct a transmission grating spectrograph with high-efficiency and relatively high spectral resolution.
