ABSTRACT

Decay profiles of Mn2+ d-d luminescence is investigated under pulsed excitation at various energy. The time variation of the spectrum depends on the excitation energy, but the dependence on the excitation energy agrees well with the previous CW result. For all excitation energies, the spectrum shows small but apparent red shift with slight spectral narrowing as time passes. The origin of the red-shift is not clear, but some possibilities are discussed.
