ABSTRACT
This paper reports details of the Bridgman growth of ZnGeP2, and the achievement of good single-crystal material for OPO applications. Major improvements have resulted from the use of seeds oriented close to [012], enclosure of the seed-holder in a ceramic bobbin and post-growth annealing to reduce the 2.05μm wavelength absorption to <cm−1
