ABSTRACT
ZnAl2S4 and CdIn2S4 single crystals with the spinel structure have been studied by Raman spectroscopy. It was shown that investigation of the intensity ratio of the modes caused by the vibrations of two types of tetrahedra (AS4 and BS4) can be used for determination of normality index in CdbIn2S4 and composition of Zn1-YCdYAl2S4 materials.
