ABSTRACT

The optical properties of the single crystals of the ternary compounds Zn1-xMn2+xAs2 and Mg2MnAs2 have been studied. The “red” and “blue” shifts of optical absorption edge for Zn1-xMn2+xAs2, were established. At the same time no anomaly of the forbidden gap temperature dependence for Mg2MnAs2 was observed which shows a usual “blue” shift. An attempt has been made to interpret these facts in relation to the magnetic properties of the compounds.
