Defect chalcopyrites https://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> □ A II B 2 III C 4 VI https://s3-euw1-ap-pe-df-pch-content-public-p.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/9781003063049/ea1329d3-df9d-47ef-98aa-cba26732e61c/content/ieq0283.tif" xmlns:xlink="https://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"/> attract special attention because of the presence of vacancies in a stoichiometric and ordered fashion. These vacancies support the disordering of the cation sublattices at elevated temperatures. This is investigated with the method Perturbed γ-γ Angular Correlation (PAC) which is sensitive to short range order around implanted radioactive probes. In all substances investigated disordering is observed at relatively low temperatures in comparison to chalcopyrite structure compounds.
