ABSTRACT

Magnetic and magnetooptical studies of quaternary semimagnetic semiconductors with Mn mole fraction: cubic Zn0.1Cd0.89Mn0.01Te and wurtzite Cd0.99Mn0.01Se0.3Te0.7 were performed. Measurements of the magnetisation, performed by SQUID technique at the temperature of T=2K as the function of the magnetic field up to 5T exhibited similar behaviour like in ternary alloys with small Mn contents. Magnetoreflectivity measurements were performed in the same external fields B=0–5T and at the temperature of T=2K in Faraday and Voigt configurations. Exchange integrals for both samples were calculated. Results were compared to those for ternary semimagnetic semiconductors.
