ABSTRACT

The CuIn5S8 single crystals of 14 mm in diameter and of 50 mm in length were grown by the vertical Bridgman-Stockbarger technique and the AgIn5S8 single crystals of the same size were obtained by direction crystallization of the melt. The energy band gap, the optical and electrophysical properties as well as the structural characteristics and thermal expansion coefficents at different temperatures in these grown compounds were determined.
