ABSTRACT

ZnxMg1-xS:Mn solid solution thin films have been prepared in the wide composition x between 0.13 and 1.0. The optical and photoluminescent properties have been investigated. The peak energy of the Mn emission band shows remarkable high energy shift with the increase of Mg composition. Photoluminescence intensity is enhanced by increasing the Mg content. The origin of the properties of Mn emission in Zn xMg1-xS have been briefly discussed.
