ABSTRACT
The effect of a hydrostatic pressure and a tensile stress on aged ω-phase crystal formation in β-titanium alloys was investigated using HREM mthod. It was found that both stressings acted effectively to form homogeneously distributed high density co-phase crystals. It was considered that a stress activated nucleation-sites of β to ω transformation due to aging.
