ABSTRACT
A critical survey is given of all solvents for aliphatic poly amides which have been used for GPC analysis. The experience we have gained with four of these solvents is not very encouraging. Some results are given of measurements with hexafluoroisopropanol and μBondagel® columns. Also a new solvent is introduced, namely m-cresol/dichloromethane (1/9). This mixture can be used with μStyragel® columns at low temperature and it is suitable for poly styrene, polyesters, polyamide 6 and 6.6.
