ABSTRACT
It is generally accepted that drug-induced nutritional deficiencies are a subclass of adverse drug reactions. According to Stolley (1981), an adverse drug reaction may be defined as a deleterious and unwanted effect of a drug, which may be due either to an increase in the desired pharmacological action of the drug, or due to a secondary pharmacological property of the drug that is unwanted in some particular situation.
