ABSTRACT
The dramatic increase in the application of laser technology in medical therapeutics and diagnostics in the last 15 years has been the result of much labor on the part of clinicians, researchers, physicists, nurses, businessmen, hospital administrators, and many others. Similarly, the development of a laser program in a hospital requires the energy and cooperation of individuals from the institution's medical, surgical, nursing, administrative, and support staffs. Although the programs are usually initiated through the leadership of a highly motivated individual, the secret of a successful laser program is teamwork.
