ABSTRACT
The problem of regeneration in the central and peripheral nervous system has been the topic of rrumerous investigations and a variety of techniques have been used to effect complete restoration (discussed in a later section)(1,2). In the past 10 years a resurgence of interest has developed in employing electric fields to stimulate regrowth. The purpose of this Chapter is to present results obtained with these fields and to explore future avenues of research.
