ABSTRACT

The search for new, safe, and selective insect control agents is a continuing effort that is central to much of the research conducted by private and public institutions, both in this country and the rest of the world. With increasing concern for the environment, changes in public awareness of pesticides, grower and producer needs, agronomic practices, pest complexes, and the continuing ability of insects to become resistant to currently available insecticides, the search for replacement compounds and new target sites is never ceasing. This book and other recent books on similar topics [1-10] are the result of this continuing interest and need.
