ABSTRACT
A new surface modification process is described in which polymers are formed at the surface of packing materials. The film formation technique is conceptually a surface analog to emulsion polymerization. By this method, a prototype, hybrid ion exchange-reversed phase chromatographic packing material has been prepared and tested.
