ABSTRACT
Microemulsions as extraction vehicles offer several advantages in reduced toxicity and low energy requirements for the total process due to the reversibility of the process. The phases involved have low energies of stabilization and the entire cycle of solubilization and breakup of microemulsions is contained in a temperature range of about 20°C.
