ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews the mental processes and physical steps involved in performing catalytic investigations in laboratory reactors. The intent is to illustrate the available solutions to the difficulties in obtaining meaningful data. Various types of reactors are reviewed and examples are given of their successful use. Some of the latest developments in the design and control of laboratory reactors are described.
