ABSTRACT

A computer simulation study was applied to the modeling of grain growth during liquid phase sintering. The two mass transfer routes through solid boundaries and a liquid phase were designed in the grain growth simulation based on the Monte Carlo method in two dimensional triangle lattices. The parameters of the fraction of a liquid phase (fL ) and the energy ratio of the solid/liquid interface and solid/solid boundaries (γSLSS ) changed in the simulation. The characteristic features by the change of these parameters were clearly shown in the simulated results.
